“The role of an Author is not to say what we can say but what we are unable to say.” -Anäis Nin

Hello, welcome to my blog. My name is Carra and I hope you enjoy what I have to offer here.

First, if you would like to get to know more about my life and my background, visit here and here.

Now, I would like to share a little about why I decided to make a blog. You could say that it all started when I was in the fifth grade. I began to realize that I enjoyed writing and my teacher, Mrs. Yates, encouraged me to pursue this desire. Mrs. Yates even entered my work into a writing competition. I didn’t win but it did boost my confidence. From that moment on, I started working more on my writing and saw that it was getting better.

Fast forward to after high school, one of my friends, Michaela, had talked about blogging and I was intrigued. I thought that it would be a perfect place to start my writing career. I knew about other blogging websites but I wanted something new. I opened an account here in 2013 and was so excited to start. Of course, reality set in and things here didn’t get done. I went on a mission for my church (which you can read about here) and had no one to keep up with my blog. But here I am, trying to make my mark on the world and give you what I have learned. Please feel free to comment on anything at anytime, I love hearing from you. If there’s anything you would like to know more about, I can definitely find it for you and make a post, I will even dedicate it to you!

To give you a little bit more background on the people you will hear about throughout my posts, I will talk about them and why they are so important in my life.

Michaela is my best friend of over 12 years. We met in seventh grade and were friends almost instantly. We have gone through so much together and, honestly, I’m not sure how I’d be able to handle life without her. She is a strong woman and she has definitely put up with her fair share of hardships but she just keeps on going. She is one of the most important people in my life. She is a mother one a little girl, who she calls Owlet in her blog (which you can see here). She is three years old and is definitely her mother’s daughter. Of course, she has a mix of both parents but I constantly see Michaela in her.

Next is Victoria, we met my junior year in high school. We were both new to the school and didn’t really have any friends to hang out with. Don’t get me wrong, I did have friends but I felt awkward hanging out with them. Well, one day Victoria and I realised we had 3 classes together and began talking and eating lunch together. She is part of the reason I got braces, actually. And she made my junior and senior years of high school bearable. She recently graduated CSUF with a double major (computer science and business administration with a concentration in information systems). She is such a smart, amazing person and I am lucky to have her in my life. I look up to her, even if she doesn’t realize it.

You will also see the name Hector come up several times. It is no secret that I was married and we just didn’t work out. He’s a great guy and was a huge part of my life. From time to time you may read about our relationship or marriage. I didn’t take everything off of here about him because the posts are still relevant. I do appreciate the time I had with him and I hope he finds the happiness he deserves.

Lastly, I want to thank you for making this possible. Without you, the reader, I would not have any point to posting anything.

Please use the tabs above to navigate through my blog to the various content that I have available, there’s truly something for everyone. Also, feel free to comment on content that you would like to see more of.
